Why not bake some bread for dinner tonight…… super easy and you might have all you need right in your fridge and pantry….. A wonderful compliment to your Sunday dinner
Easy Cheesy Bread
Ingredients: 3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp dry active yeast 1 and ½ cups warm water Mix together until it forms a dough, place in a bowl, cover with a tea towel and let sit 3-5 hours
1 cup, or more if desired, grated cheese of choice (pepper jack or cheddar are great examples) ½ - ¾ cup chopped herbs you have on hand, rosemary or dill would be great choices but experiment and find the combinations you like along with your preferred cheese. Let your imagination and run wild the combinations are endless!
Preheat oven, along with your dutch oven to 450 degrees
Pour dough onto a floured surface flattening out with some excess flour. Layer in the cheese and chopped fresh herbs folding dough into itself as you go adding additional layers until you have your dough ball formed again.
Place dough back in the bowl, now lined with parchment paper, score the top of the dough a few times, and let rest 30 min
Carefully remove your hot dutch oven from the oven and place parchment along with the dough ball inside, cover and bake for 30min. Remove lid and bake for an additional 15 min.
BAM, bread for dinner! Enjoy!
