At the cottage, trying a new recipe, using Rhubarb from my garden. (let me know if you would like some rhubarb, I have lots!!) My friends and I are big charcuterie board lovers. Nothing better than munching away on great meats, cheese, little pieces of fruit and crackers while catching up and enjoying each others company. They make a great addition to a house party, or holiday. I recently found a recipe for Cheddar Dijon Crackers . Want to bake a quick little treat this weekend, try this quick bread for a nice addition to your afternoon cup of tea. Coconut Bread 1 lb flour 5 tsp baking powder 11 ozs of granulated sugar 1.2 tsp of salt 1/2 stick of butter, melted 3/4 cup of milk 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 small coconut grated raisins soaked in rum Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Easter has always meant HOT CROSS BUNS to me! I'll eat them anytime, always, but at Easter they are more readily available. This weekend I'm going to try making my own, mostly cause I'll have the time! I found this recipe and thought I'd share to inspire the other lovers out there.
